1. Andrew¹ Bell⁽²²³⁾ was born June 1858.

He married Mary Ann Pittenger March 21, 1883. Annie was born February 20, 1865. In the 1900 census Somerset Co page 94A, Annie has the birth date of August 1862. Annie was the daughter of George Washington Pittenger and Margaret Godown.

Annie is deceased. Buried in Somerville Cemetery as are Joseph, Ethel (Kersting), John and Margaret (Nash) In the 1900 census Bridgewater Twp, Somerset Co NJ page 94A, Andrew (age 41) is living with his wife Annie (age 37), sons George (age 16), Joseph (age 13) Arthur (age 9), John (age 1), daughters Nellie (age 9) and Ethel (age 8). They have been married for 17 years and have had 6 children, all alive at the time of the census. Andrew is a farmer and rents his farm.

Andrew Bell and Mary Ann Pittenger had the following children:

2 i. George² Bell⁽²²⁴⁾ was born in Somerset Co, NJ October 1883.

3 ii. Joseph Bell was born in Somerset Co, NJ October 1886.

4 iii. Nellie Bell was born North Branch, NJ June 30, 1890. Nellie died November 9, 1969 Bound Brook, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 79 years of age. She married William Roy Godown about 1912. Roy was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ December 10, 1890. Roy was the son of James Oliver Godown and Estella Pearl Hagaman. Roy died May 12, 1964 Bound Brook, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 73 years of age. buried in Bound brook Cemetery. (See William Roy Godown for the continuation of this line.)

5 iv. Arthur Bell was born North Branch, NJ June 30, 1890.

6 v. Ethel Bell⁽²²⁵⁾ was born in Somerset Co, NJ May 1892.

7 vi. John V. D. Bell was born in Somerset Co, NJ April 1899.

8 vii. Margaret Bell was born after 1900.
