1. George¹ Alford⁽⁵⁷⁾ was born in Windsor, Hartford Co, CT March 10, 1764. George died April 15, 1851 in Monroe Twp, Monroe Co, MI, at 87 years of age.

He married Betsy Hulbert in Rutland, Vermont, December 4, 1784. Betsy was born February 26, 1765. Betsy died April 15, 1844 at 79 years of age.

George Alford and Betsy Hulbert had the following children:

2 i. Sally² Alford⁽⁵⁸⁾ was born October 2, 1785. She married unknown Wickham. Unknown was born about 1785.

3 ii. Herman Alford⁽⁵⁹⁾ was born March 29, 1788. He married Sally Brown. Sally was born about 1788.

4 iii. Polly Alford⁽⁶⁰⁾ was born June 14, 1790. Polly died 1794 at 4 years of age.

5 iv. Elizabeth Alford was born May 29, 1791.

6 v. George G Alford was born in Cayuga, Seneca Co, NY June 17, 1793. George died April 1, 1847 in Crockett, Houston Co, TX, at 53 years of age. He married twice. He married Christine Jeannette Lesseur in New Madrid, Missouri, 1821. Christine was born about 1795. He married Ann Barfield in New Madrid, Missouri, 1829. Ann was born in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co TN May 9, 1807. Ann died February 10, 1847 in Crockett, Houston Co, TX, at 39 years of age.

7 vi. Elijah Alford was born New York 1793.

8 vii. Rebecca Alford was born December 12, 1794. Rebecca died 1795 at less than one year of age.

9 viii. Amanda Caroline Alford was born August 11, 1796. She married twice. She married James Clark Dutcher in Franklin Co, VT, April 11, 1813. James was born in St Albans, Franklin Co, VT May 18, 1792. (Additional notes for James Clark Dutcher⁽⁶¹⁾) She married Isaac P Skinner in River Raisins, Monroe Co, MI, March 31, 1819. Isaac was born about 1796.

10 ix. John Mallory Alford was born March 27, 1798. He married Sylvia Brown. Sylvia was born about 1800.

11 x. Ethen Allen Alford⁽⁶²⁾ was born in West Windsor, Hartford Co, CT March 12, 1800. Some other researchers have the birth place as Lake Cayuga , Seneca Co, NY He married Victoria Godown. Victoria was born about 1805. Victoria was the daughter of Unknown Parents GodownUnknown.

12 xi. Johnson Hulbert Alford was born April 1802. He married Adeline Bates. Adeline was born about 1802.

13 xii. Lucinda Alford was born February 26, 1804. Lucinda died April 19, 1853 at 49 years of age. She married twice. She married John Lawrence about 1825. John was born about 1804. John died about 1826. She married Thomas McDowell July 2, 1826. Thomas was born 1802. Thomas died 1863 at 61 years of age.

14 xiii. Fannie Alford was born June 22, 1806. She married twice. She married Wallace Leonard. Wallace was born about 1805. She married Guyle Knickerbocker. Guyle was born about 1805.
