34. Sylvester⁴ Apgar (Frederick³, Frederick², Johannes Peter¹)⁽⁹⁵⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 28, 1821. IGI has birth date Apr 28, 1821 and Apr 20, 1820. Bushwick settler article has Apr 28 1821. So I have used April 28. Sylvester died August 28, 1874 at 53 years of age.

He married Fanny Besson October 21, 1847. Fanny was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 22, 1822. Fanny⁽⁹⁶⁾ was the daughter of John Besson and Rachel Trout. Fanny died December 20, 1891 at 69 years of age.

Sylvester Apgar and Fanny Besson had the following child:

59 i. Elizabeth Mettler⁵ Apgar⁽⁹⁷⁾ was born March 1, 1856. She married John Stanford September 26, 1878. John was born July 3, 1848. (Additional notes for John Stanford⁽⁹⁸⁾) John died September 28, 1924 at 76 years of age.
