67. Edward Tilghman6 Lehr (Charles Henry5, Tilghman4, John3, John2, John1) was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA May 26, 1884. Edward died September 29, 1939 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 55 years of age. Buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth

He married twice. He married Ella Vesta Derhammer in Pennsylvania, 1904. Ellen was born in Monroe Co, PA February 7, 1885. Ellen was the daughter of Henry Derhammer and Mary Ann Remaly. Ellen died August 30, 1917 in Pennsylvania, at 32 years of age. She died shortly after the birth of her tenth child from food poisoning from bad mayonaise at a picnic. She was admitted to Easton Hospital for treatment August 28. Her husband and six children, the youngest only four weeks old, survive her. Funeral was held at the residence of Charles H Lehr. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery Nazareth, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, USA

He married Edna unknown about 1918. Edna was born in New Jersey 1890. In the 1910 census Forks Twp Northampton Co PA page 265 Edward (age 26) is living with his wife Ella (age 25), Mary (age 5), Eva (age 3), Lena (age 1 & 9months),and Charles (age 6 months). They have been married for 6 years and have 4 children. Edward has the occupation of a laborer doing odd jobs. They rent their home and he has been employed all year.

In the 1920 census Riegelsville, Bucks, Pennsylvania page , Edward (age 35) is recorded with his wife Edna (age 29) and daughter Margaret (age 9). Edward is a painter born in PA.

In the Obituary of Edward T. Lehr age 55, it lists the following: He is survived by his second wife, two sons and seven daughters. Elwood Lehr of College Hill, Easton, Charles Lehr, Mrs Russell Fritchman, Mrs Robert Dech, Mrs Arlington Heckman, Mrs Mary Billheimer, Mrs Charles Riegel, Miss Helen Lehr, Miss Frances Lehr and his father Charles Lehr, and two brothers Harrison Lehr and William Lehr.

Edward Tilghman Lehr and Ella Vesta Derhammer had the following children:

child 78 ii. Mary A Lehr was born in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA February 23, 1905. Mary died May 16, 1996 in Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pa, at 91 years of age. Burial: Saint Johns Cemetery Nazareth, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, USA She married Victor Billheimer in Northampton Co., Pa, 1925.

Victor was born in Pennsylvania November 15, 1902. Victor died September 3, 1952 in Pennsylvania, at 49 years of age. Burial: Saint Johns Cemetery Nazareth, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, USA i0 In the 1930 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 150, Victor (age 27) is recorded with his wife Mary (age 24). Victor was first married at age 22, born in PA, and works in a Hosiery factory. In the 1920 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co PA page 144, Henry (age 65), is recorded with Mary (age 62) and grand daughter Mary Lehr (age 14). Mary most likely began living with them after her mother's death.

child 79 iii. Eva M (Laubach) Lehr was born in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA October 18, 1906. Eva died February 1972 in Northampton Twp, Northampton Co, PA, at 65 years of age. Burried at Farmersville Cemetery, Bethlehem Township Northampton County, PA She married Charles Weaver Riegel 1925.

Charles was born in Pennsylvania September 24, 1904. Charles was the son of Stewart C Riegel and Emily L unknown. Charles died November 2, 2006 in Bethlehem, Northampton Co, PA, at 102 years of age. Buried at Farmersville Cemetery, Bethlehem Township Northampton County, PA (See Charles Weaver Riegel for the continuation of this line.) In the 1920 census Bethleham Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 10, Eva (age 13) is recorded with Asher Laubach and family. She most likely began living there after her mother died.

child 80 iv. Lena Irene Lehr(3333) was born in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA September 12, 1908. Lena died November 16, 1940 Washington Twp, Northampton Co, Pa, at 32 years of age. Lena suffered head injuries in a collision with the car she was driving and a truck. The crash took place in front of S.A. Shillinger feed mill along the Phillipsburg-Washington highway at Stewartsville Heights. She was taken to Warren Hospital where she died later that afternoon.

Buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth PA She married Arlington Joseph Heckman in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA, June 1926.

Arlington was born in Martins Creek, Monroe Co, PA March 15, 1906. In the 1930 census he is listed as being born in New Jersey. Arlington was the son of Samuel Abraham Heckman and Amanda Ellen Warner.

Arlington died June 1, 1977 in West Grove, Clarion Co, PA, at 71 years of age. (See Arlington Joseph Heckman for the continuation of this line.) In the 1920 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 225, Lena I. (age 12) is a servant in the home of John Zerfoss and family. Most likely began living there after the death of her mother.

child 82 vi. Margaret E Lehr was born in Northampton Co., Pa December 16, 1911. Molly died March 19, 1983 in Oceanside, San Diego, California, at 71 years of age. She married Russell Charles Steven Fritchman in Northampton Co., Pa, May 11, 1935. Russell was born Bath, Northampton Co, Pa February 25, 1911. Russell was the son of Charles Cleveland Fritchman and Sadie C Greenzweig. Russell died March 7, 1972 in Bethlehem, Northampton Co, PA, at 61 years of age. In the 1930 census 141 Whitfield Street, Nazareth, Northampton Co PA page 116, Margaret (age 18) is living with her grandfather Charles and brother Charles and sister Florence. She is working in a silk mill.

She married Robert Eugene Dech in Northampton Co., Pa, about 1931. Robert was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA December 15, 1910. Robert was the son of Frank D Dech and Lillie A unknown. Robert died August 1967 in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA, at 56 years of age. (See Robert Eugene Dech for the continuation of this line.) In the 1930 census 141 Whitfield Street, Nazareth, Northampton Co PA page 116, Florence (age 17) is living with her grandfather Charles and brother Charles and sister Margaret. She is working in a silk mill.

child 84 viii. Frances Marie Lehr was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA May 10, 1913. Frances died August 10, 1999 in Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pa, at 86 years of age. She married Homer Allen Shull. Homer was born in Lehigh Co., Pa October 31, 1909. Homer died March 7, 1948 in Lehigh Twp, Northampton Co, PA, at 38 years of age. adopted shortly after the death of her mother by Tilghman and Lillie Jane Koehler

child 85 ix. Norman Downing Lehr was born October 26, 1915. Norman died September 16, 1996 in Montgomery Co, New Yok, at 80 years of age. around 1918, Norman was adopted by Norman & Jennie Colburn after the death of his mother.

child 86 x. Lela C Lehr was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA June 24, 1916. Lela died June 30, 1916 Easton, Northampton Co, PA, at less than one year of age.

child 87 xi. Helen V (Lehr) Rosen was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA August 4, 1917. Helen died October 6, 2002 in Mission Viejo, Orange Co, California, at 85 years of age. Buried at Riverside National Cemetery She married twice.

She married unknown Rath. She married Edward John Encelewski February 1, 1941. Edward was born New York July 9, 1915. Edward died August 29, 1997 in Mission Viejo, Orange Co, California, at 82 years of age. Buried at Riverside National Cemetery Helen was adopted at 18 months old by Arthur and Clara Rosen after staying at a number of foster homes after the death of her mom when she was only 4 months old.

In the 1930 census Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania page 28, Helen (age 12) is recorded with Arthur Rosen (age 43), Clara (age 45) Katherine (age 14) and Lucy Fox (age 72).
