1. George W¹ Mason was born in New Jersey 1816.

He married Mary Reiding in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 18, 1837. Mary was born in Pennsylvania 1812. In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 147, George (age 33) is recorded with Mary (age 37), John (age 11), and Susan (age 10). George is a farmer born in NJ.

In the 1860 census Trenton Ward 5, Mercer, New Jersey page , George (age 44) is recorded with Mary (age 45), John (age 21) and Susan (age 20).

George W Mason and Mary Reiding had the following children:

2 i. John B² Mason was born in New Jersey 1838.

3 ii. Susan Mason was born in New Jersey 1839. She married Francis C Roberson February 20, 1862. Francis was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ February 12, 1837. Francis was the son of William Roberson and Sarah West. (See Francis C Roberson for the continuation of this line.)
