1. John Waterhouse¹ Lequear was born Delaware Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ March 11, 1823. John died July 15, 1905 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 82 years of age.

He married Catherine Jane Rittenhouse November 18, 1863. Catherine was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ October 13, 1838. Catherine was the daughter of Daniel Thatcher Rittenhouse and Catharine Ann Hoff. Catherine died April 7, 1912 at 73 years of age.

John Waterhouse Lequear and Catherine Jane Rittenhouse had the following children:

2 i. Mary L² Lequear was born November 19, 1851. Mary died December 8, 1894 at 43 years of age.

3 ii. William Lequear was born April 1, 1853.

4 iii. George W Lequear was born July 29, 1854.

5 iv. Thomas B Lequear was born September 15, 1864.

6 v. John Lequear was born November 9, 1871.

7 vi. Walter Lequear was born May 6, 1873.

8 vii. Chester Lequear was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 9, 1876. Chester died December 22, 1954 in Stockton, Rd, Nj, at 78 years of age.

9 viii. Samuel Lequear was born July 14, 1879.

10 ix. Margaret Lequear was born November 11, 1880.

11 x. Harriet Lequear was born November 9, 1883.
