1. Martin1 Martindale was born about 1880.

He married Annie Maples. Annie was born 1889. Annie died 1968 at 79 years of age.

Martin Martindale and Annie Maples had the following children:

child 2 i. Pauline E2 Martindale(3556) was born in Marietta, OK January 31, 1906. Pauline died July 21, 1997 in Riverside, Riverside Co, CA, at 91 years of age. She married twice. She married Howard Emerson Godown. Howard was born in Darke Co. Ohio September 15, 1908. Howard(3557) was the son of Ezra Vernandus Godown and Pearl Etta Riegle. Howard died May 7, 1982 Phoenix, Maricopa Co, AZ, at 73 years of age. The death place is a little unclear. SSDI has last address as Phoenix, AZ and some other research indicates Darke Co, OH.

His body was interred May 10, 1982 VanBuren Twp, Darke Co, OH, Abbottsville. Buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, VanBuren Twp Darke Co Ohio.

She married J Paul Gunter 1924. J was born about 1905. (See J Paul Gunter for the continuation of this line.) In the 1930 census West Washington Street, Phoenix, Maricopa Co, Arizona page 139, Pauline Gunter (age 24) is recorded as head of household with son Jack (age 5), daughter BonnieJo (age 1y2m) and Meleise? Martindale (age 15) her sister. Pauline is recorded as married and was first married at age 18. She was born in OK.

Godown, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park. She died Monday of heart disease at Chapman Convalescent Hospital in Riverside. Interment will be private. Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside is handling arrangements. Mrs. Godown, who was born in Marietta, Okla., lived in Riverside 10 years. She was a head housekeeper for 40 years at the Arizona Biltmore and Elizabeth Arden Maine Chance in Phoenix. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Riverside and took exercise classes at the Janet Goeske Senior Center in Riverside. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Mrs. Godown is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Sherry in Riverside; two sons, Jack Gunter of Phoenix and Brad Gunter of Redlands; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Bonnie Learn of Phoenix. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Chapman Hospice at 4301 Caroline Court, Riverside, 92506.
