4. Abraham2 Lerch (Charles1) was born in Pennsylvania 1857. Abraham died about 1891.

He married Mary Ellen Piatt about 1884. Mary was born in Nockamixon Twp, Bucks Co, Pa December 1859. Mary was the daughter of Isaiah W Piatt and Ann Gordon. Mary died 1940 at 80 years of age.

Abraham Lerch and Mary Ellen Piatt had the following children:

child 6 i. Jennie3 Lerch was born in New Jersey January 1885. Jennie died 1961 at 76 years of age. She married William H Minder 1902. William was born in Tinicum Twp, Bucks Co, Pa December 1868. William was the son of Charles Minder and Rosanna unknown. William died 1945 at 76 years of age. (See William H Minder for the continuation of this line.)

child 8 iii. Bessie I Lerch was born in New Jersey May 1, 1890. Bessie died December 20, 1920 Milford, Holland Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 30 years of age. Buried at the Milford Union Cemetery, Milford NJ

The funeral of Mrs. Noah Godown, of Milford, was held at the Christian Church, on Tuesday December 21, 1920. Internment was made in the Milford Cemetery. The pallbearers were Arthur Saylor, Arthur Godown, Joseph Hearn, Harold Brown, David Hawk and Walter Hancey. Mrs. Godown had been ill for six weeks, suffering from an infected tooth. An operation for blood poisoning was performed on her at the Trenton Hospital, with no avail. She is survived by her husband and two sons and two daughters; also by her parents and four sisters, all of Milford.

She married Noah Pursell Godown Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ, September 22, 1906.

Noah was born Milford, Holland Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ May 08, 1886. Noah was the son of Charles Robins Godown and Alice Agnes Pursell. Noah died December 26, 1967 Milford, Holland Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 81 years of age. He died in the Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, where he had been a patient three weeks. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Milford and a Milford councilman for 18 years. He is buried in the Milford Union Cemetery.

Noah P. Godown, 81, of Milford, NJ, former borough councilman for 18 years, died in Warren Hospital where he was admitted December 8. Mr. Godown formerly operated dry goods stores in Frenchtown and Milford. Earlier he was employed by the Riegel Paper Corp and even earlier in his life he worked as a boat captain on the Lehigh and Delaware canals. Born May 8, 1886 in Milford he was a son of the late Charles and Alice Pursell Godown. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Milford. Survivors include his widow, the former Emma Melick; five sons, Wilber and Clarence both of Frenchtown; Earl Milford, and Norman and Herbert, both of Reigelsville; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Pethybridge, Reigelsville; Mrs. Dorothy Hollo, Trenton; Mrs. Edith Black, San Leandro, Calif., and Mrs. Nancy Vegh, Milford; two stepchildren, Harry Kinney, Milford, and Mrs. Arlene Bellis, Bloomsbury; two brothers, John Cedarville, NJ, and Frank Millville, NJ, 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren (See Noah Pursell Godown for the continuation of this line.)
