Swainesboro, Ga, Feb 17 - Funeral services were held Sunday for B.F. McBride, 72, a prominent farmer of Emanuel county, who died after a short illness of Pneumonia. Mr McBride was well known and regarded highly by all who knew him. The services were held at the Bethany Baptich church, where he was a faithful member and deacon. Survivors are his wife, four sons, E.M. McBride, Savannah; W.B. McBride, Albany; Perry McBride, Swainsboro; H.B. McBride, Greenboro, N.C.; three daughters, Mrs C.R. Godowns, Mrs T.W. Salter, both of Thomson, and Mrs T.W. Odum, Swainsboro, and 22 grand children and one great-grandchild.

2 i. Freddie Mae2 McBride was born Nov 29, 1901. Freddie died January 23, 1984 Thomson, McDuffie Co, GA, at 82 years of age. She married Charles Reamer Godowns. Charlie was born Jefferson Co, GA 1900. Charlie was the son of Charles E Godowns and Bianna E Brinson. Charlie died May 22, 1961 in McDuffie Co, Georgia, at 60 years of age. Tuesday, May 23, 1961 Augusta Chronicle Thomson, GA - Charlie Reamer Godowns, 61, died Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, With Rev. Rudolph Evans and Rev Dan Brewster Officiating. Mr. Godowns died unexpectedly. He was a Jefferson County native, son of the late Charlie E and Bianna Brinson Godowns. He had made his home in Thomson since 1924. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Freddie Mae McBride Godowns of Thomson; five daughters, Mrs Marvin W Parrish, Mrs George T. Coleman Jr., Mrs R. A. Thrift, and Mrs Roy McCarty all of Thomson; and Mrs W.O. Williams of Augusta; one sister, Mrs J.W. Murray of Augusta; 14 grandchildren and a large number of nieces and Nephews, (See Charles Reamer Godowns for the continuation of this line.)
