8. Elra Staton³ Pierce (William W.², Thomas¹) was born Iowa May 1868. Elra died July 10, 1932 at 64 years of age.

He married Mary Louise Hospelhorne in Hutchinson, Reno Co, Kanasas, February 12, 1888. Mary was born in Bloomington, Mclean Co, Illinois July 23, 1869. Mary died 1958 at 88 years of age. In the 1920 census Devol Twp. Cotton Co Oklahoma page 53, Elra (age 51) is recorded with his wife Lou (age 51), Fred (age 20), Pearl (age 15), Elmer (age 11). Elra is a teamster born in Iowa. Right next door is Earl (age 28).

Elra Staton Pierce and Mary Louise Hospelhorne had the following children:

11 i. Roy⁴ Pierce was born in Kansas July 1888.

12 ii. Bell Pierce was born in Kansas October 1889. Bell died May 18, 1963 at 73 years of age.

+ 13 iii. Earl Ray Pierce was born 1892.

14 iv. Walter Pierce was born in Oklahoma December 1897.

15 v. Fred Pierce was born in Oklahoma March 1900.

16 vi. Hazel F Pierce was born in Oklahoma 1904. Hazel died February 22, 1939 at 34 years of age.

17 vii. Pearl B Pierce was born in Oklahoma 1905. Pearl died February 22, 1939 at 33 years of age.

18 viii. Elmer S Pierce was born in Oklahoma 1909.
