51. Brice Moore⁴ Pursell (Brice³, John², Unknown Parents¹ Pursellunknown) was born in Tinicum Twp, Bucks Co, Pa August 31, 1811. Brice died June 18, 1885 at 73 years of age.

He married Martha Merrick Poore. Martha was born Bucks Co, Pennsylvania February 18, 1817. Martha died May 2, 1902 at 85 years of age. In the 1850 census Nockamixon Twp Bucks Co PA page 263A, Brice (age 37) is living with his wife Martha (age 33), sons Augustus? (age 11), Horatio (age 8), Howard (age 3) and Hacy? (age 9 months). Ann Pursell, Brice's sister, (age 21) is also living there. Brice has the occupation listed as Distillery worker and all the family were born in PA.

In the 1880 census Bridgeton Twp Bucks Co Pa page 130A, Brice (age 68) is living with his wife Martha (age 63). Also in the household is Olivia Poor, Brice's niece. Brice has the occupation of farmer.

Brice Moore Pursell and Martha Merrick Poore had the following children:

92 i. Augustus⁵ Pursell was born Bucks Co, Pennsylvania 1838.

93 ii. Horatio M Pursell was born in Tinicum Twp, Bucks Co, Pa December 4, 1841. Horatio died August 31, 1863 at 21 years of age.

94 iii. Howard Pursell was born in Nockamixon Twp, Bucks Co, Pa 1846.

95 iv. Hacy? Pursell was born in Nockamixon Twp, Bucks Co, Pa August 1849.
