2. Peter² Vansycle (Abraham¹)⁽⁵⁴⁴³⁾ was born in New Jersey 1797. Peter died in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey.

He married Margaret Hope in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, May 8, 1824. Margaret was born about 1800. There is a Peter Vansycle living in the household of Samuel Godown and Elizabeth Vansycle Godown in 1870. In have listed Peter as Elizabeth's father based on this.

Peter Vansycle and Margaret Hope had the following child:

3 i. Elizabeth Ann³ Vansycle⁽⁵⁴⁴⁴⁾ was born in New Jersey 1828. She married Samuel Godown Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, September 7, 1850. September 11, 1850, Vol. XIII, No. 4, Whole No. 628

On the 7th inst., by the Rev. J. H. Sherwood, Mr. Samuel Godown, to Miss Elizabeth Vansyckle, all of Frenchtown.

Samuel was born in Baptistown, Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co. NJ 1824. Samuel was the son of Richard S Godown and Mary Rittenhouse. Samuel died about 1878 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ. (See Samuel Godown for the continuation of this line.) In the 1880 census Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co page 69B, Elizabeth (age 54) is listed as widowed and is living with her 2 daughters, Mary Jane (age 17) and Elizabeth (age 14) and her son Henry (age 20). Elizabeth has the occupation of farmer along with her son Henry. Augustus is living right next door.

In the 1885 state census Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ page 13, Elizabeth, Augustus, Lizzie, Mary, Sallie, Cornelia, Harry, and William H Godown are all living in the same household.
