13. Thomas C4 Taylor (Edward3, John2, John1) was born in Baptistown, Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co. NJ 1792. Thomas died August 10, 1877 Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 85 years of age.

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Coughlin about 1814. Elizabeth was born 1794. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Coughlin and Sarah Roberson. Elizabeth died July 19, 1823 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 29 years of age. He married Sarah Ann Stryker Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, about 1826. Sarah was born Raritan Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 22, 1802. Sarah was the daughter of Peter Stryker and Keziah Davis. Sarah died May 18, 1883 Lambertville, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 80 years of age. In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 134, Thomas (age 58), is recorded with Sarah (age 48), Amelia (age 21), George (age 18), Keziah (age 14), Catherine (age 12), Cornelia (age 11), Emeline (age 9), and Mitchel Holland (age 14).

Deaths - In Frenchtown, Aug. 10, Thomas Taylor, aged 86 years. Local Department - Mr. Thomas Taylor, after a life of more than four score years, died at his residence in Frenchtown on the 10th inst. He was born near Baptisttown, moving into Frenchtown twenty years ago. He was twice married, his first wife being a daughter of William Coughlin, of Kingwood, who died a few years afterward. The second wife was Sarah Ann Stryker, who still survives him together with eight children. Thomas Taylor - f/o Amelia S Taylor, Catherine H Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Emoline O Taylor, Kesiah Taylor Thomas Taylor - f/o Eveline O Taylor Thomas C., son of Edward Taylor, resided for a number of years on the old homestead, now in the possession of Wilson R. Kugler. He sold this and moved to Frenchtown at which place he died August 10, 1877, in his 86th year. His first wife was Elizabeth, daughter of William Conghlin and Sarah Robinson. She died July 19, 1823, in her 29th year. They had one son, William C., who died Oct. 30, 1828, and a daughter, Sarah, who married William Horner in Feb. 19, 1853. He kept store in Baptistown, Bull's Island, Frenchtown and Trenton. Thomas Taylor, brother to John, owned and lived where Wilson R. Kugler now lives. His first wife was a Coughlin, by whom he had one daughter, Sarah, who married Anderson Horner. She lives in Trenton. Thomas Taylor's second wife was Sarah Ann Stryker, a sister to Larason Stryker, who kept the hotel at Pittstown for many years. They had 7 children: Elizabeth married a Hunt; Amelia married Mathias VanSyckle; Kate died a young woman; George; Jane married a Smith for her first husband, her second husband is Peter C. Mechling; Keziah's first husband was a Hunt, her second husband is John Roberson West; Emeline married Nathan Crouse.

Thomas C Taylor and Elizabeth Coughlin had the following children:

child 33 i. William C5 Taylor was born about 1815. William died October 30, 1828 at 13 years of age.

child 34 ii. Sarah Taylor was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1820. Sarah died 1904 at 84 years of age. She married Anderson Horner in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, February 19, 1853. Anderson was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1811. Anderson(5212) was the son of William Horner and Mary Britton. Anderson died February 12, 1883 Trenton, Mercer Co, NJ, at 71 years of age. buried in Frenchtown Cemetery, Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co., Nj (See Anderson Horner for the continuation of this line.)

child 35 iii. Mary Jane Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ October 30, 1833. Mary died Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ. She married twice. She married Charles Steward Smith Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, November 11, 1851. Charles was born in New Jersey 1829. Charles was the son of William R Smith and Mary C Kline. Charles died August 16, 1866 at 37 years of age. (See Charles Steward Smith for the continuation of this line.) She married Peter C Mechling May 5, 1869. Peter was born in New Jersey about 1835. child 37 v. Amelia S Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ March 16, 1830. Amelia died May 4, 1854 Trenton, Mercer Co, NJ, at 24 years of age. She married Mathias S Vansyckle October 19, 1850. Mathias was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1825. Mathias was the son of Lewis Vansyckle and Catherine Alpaugh. Mathias died May 4, 1880 at 54 years of age. child 38 vi. George M Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 26, 1831. George died 1916 Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 84 years of age. He married Elizabeth Fulmer Trenton, Mercer Co, NJ, March 27, 1866. Elizabeth was born 1835. Elizabeth died 1909 at 74 years of age.

child 39 vii. Keziah Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ September 22, 1835. She married twice. She married Peter S Hunt September 17, 1856. Peter was born about 1836. Peter died July 3, 1872 at 36 years of age. She married John Roberson West November 28, 1883. John was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 6, 1834. John was the son of William West and Lavinia Roberson. John died February 18, 1894 Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 59 years of age.

child 40 viii. Catherine H Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ September 22, 1837. Catherine died May 5, 1862 at 24 years of age.

child 41 ix. Cornelia A Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 28, 1839. Cornelia died Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ. She married Thomas Newton Holcombe in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 21, 1869. Thomas was born about 1849.

child 42 x. Emeline O Taylor was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ November 27, 1841. She married Nathan W Crouse June 15, 1882. Nathan was born about 1862.
