First Generation

1. Jacob1 Ulmer was born in Pennsylvania 1822.

He married Elizabeth Thatcher in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 20, 1845. Elizabeth was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1827. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Thatcher and Mary Smith. In the 1860 census Frenchtown P.O. Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 772, Jacob (age 36) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 32), Mary (age 14), George (age 11), Sarah (age 8), John (age 4), and Mary Thatcher (age 59). Jacob is a farmer born in PA.

In the 1870 census Frenchtown P.O. Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 29, Jacob (age 47) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 42), George (age 21), John (age 14), William (age 4) and Mary Thatcher (age 67). Jacob is a farmer born in PA.

In the 1880 census Holland Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 328, Jacob (age 57) is recorded with his wife Elizabeth (age 52), John (age 24), William (age 13), Annie (age 20), and Lezery (age 11). Jacob is a farmer born in PA.

In "The Baptisttown Recollections" it is noted that one of Jacobs sons fell from a tree and died from the fall.

Jacob Ulmer and Elizabeth Thatcher had the following children:
