1. Samuel1 Cronce was born in New Jersey 1819. Samuel died January 24, 1882 in Sterling, Whiteside Co, Illinois, at 62 years of age.

He married twice. He married Leah unknown. Leah was born in Pennsylvania 1819. He married Elizabeth Rhoda Case in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, January 25, 1845. Elizabeth was born April 21, 1827. Elizabeth was the daughter of Tunis Case and Rhoda Moore. Elizabeth died November 23, 1847 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 20 years of age. Buried at Lower Amwell Grave Yyard/Dunkard Grave Yard, Hunterdon, NJ

In the 1870 census Mechanicsburg, Sangamon, Illinois page 248, Samuel (age 52) is recorded with Leah (age 50), Samuel (age 16) and Catherine Keefer (age 16). Samuel is a minister born in NJ.

In the 1880 census Walnut Street Sterling, Whiteside, Illinois page 260, Samuel (age 63) is recorded with Leah (age 59) both in the household of Joseph Sprinkle (age 38). Samuel is recorded as sick with Bronchial Asthma and born in NJ.

Samuel Cronce and Elizabeth Rhoda Case had the following child:
