1. William Harrison¹ Clemans⁽⁵⁸⁹⁾ was born in Lake Twp, Logan Co, Ohio May 18, 1836. William died March 2, 1922 in Bloomington, Franklin Co, Nebraska, at 85 years of age.

He married Martha Hibbard Hutchinson in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska, November 6, 1864. Martha was born in Dupont, Jefferson Co., IN August 9, 1846. (Additional notes for Martha Hibbard Hutchinson⁽⁵⁹⁰⁾) Martha died September 29, 1917 in Reamsville, Smith Co KS, at 71 years of age. In the 1870 census Peru Twp, Nemaha Co, Nebraska page 334, William (age 32) is recorded with his wife Martha (age 23), Emeline (age 7), Jesse (age 1), and William (age 4m). William is a farmer born in Ohio. All children were born in Nebraska.

In the 1880 census Peru Twp, Nemaha Co, Nebraska page 102, William (age 44) is recorded with his wife Martha (age 34), Emeline (age 15), Jesse (age 12), William (age 10), Ida (age 8), Frank (age 5), and Grant (age 3). William is a farmer born in Ohio. All children were born in Nebraska.

William Harrison Clemans and Martha Hibbard Hutchinson had the following children:

2 i. Emeline² Clemans⁽⁵⁹¹⁾ was born in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska August 15, 1865. Emeline died January 15, 1944 in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska, at 78 years of age.

4 iii. William Howard Clemans⁽⁵⁹²⁾ was born in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska February 15, 1870.

5 iv. Ida Alice Clemans⁽⁵⁹³⁾ was born in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska November 3, 1872. Ida died March 13, 1893 in Tyner, Smith Co., KS, at 20 years of age.

6 v. Benjamin Franklin Clemans⁽⁵⁹⁴⁾ was born in Peru, Nemaha Co, Nebraska February 5, 1875. Frank died February 5, 1963 in Waynoka, Woods Co., OK, at 88 years of age.

+ 7 vi. John Grant Clemans was born January 8, 1877.

8 vii. Grace C Clemans⁽⁵⁹⁵⁾ was born in Waynoka, Woods Co., OK September 9, 1882.

9 viii. Eva Clemans⁽⁵⁹⁶⁾ was born about 1889. Eva died July 25, 1925 in White Salmon, Klickitat Co., WA, at 36 years of age.
