1. John H¹ Eckel was born in New Jersey 1805.

He married Elizabeth unknown. Elizabeth was born in New Jersey 1811. In the 1850 census Alexandria Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 162, John (age 44) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 38), Frances (age 17), Henry (age 15), Mary (age 11), Aaron (age 8), Henrietta (age 4), Stewart (age 2), Mary E Cooper (age 17) and Moses Hackman (age 20). John is a farmer born in NJ.

John H Eckel and Elizabeth unknown had the following children:

2 i. Frances² Eckel was born in New Jersey 1832. She married Edward Hunt in Mount Pleasant, Hunterdon Co NJ, November 20, 1856. Edward was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1832. Edward was the son of Edward Hunt and Catherine Young. (See Edward Hunt for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Henry Eckel was born in New Jersey 1834.

4 iii. Mary A Eckel was born in New Jersey 1838.

5 iv. Aaron W Eckel was born in New Jersey 1841.

6 v. Henrietta Eckel was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1845.

7 vi. Stewart Eckel was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1847.
