2. John James² Gibson (William H.¹) was born in Medina Co, Ohio 1834. John died About, 1875 in Missouri.

He married Emme Caroline Phillips 1858. Emme was born Caldwell Co., MO January 1840. Emme was the daughter of John Noah Phillips and Lucinda unknown. Emme died 1904 Logan Co. OK, at 64 years of age. In the 1860 census Davis Twp, Caldwell Co Missouri page 725, John (age 26) is recorded with his wife Caroline (age 20) and William (age 1). John is a farmer. He lives just a few door from a William Gibson.

In the 1870 census New York Twp, Caldwell Co Missouri page 205, John (age 36) is recorded with his wife Caroline (age 28) William (age 11), John (age 7), Mary (age 5), and Joseph (age 2). John is a farmer.

John James Gibson and Emme Caroline Phillips had the following children:

6 i. William James³ Gibson was born Caldwell Co., MO February 28, 1859. William died May 4, 1921 in Altus Twp, Jackson Co. Oklahoma, at 62 years of age. He married Melvina Skaggs September 23, 1877. Melvina was born Caldwell Co., MO December 4, 1859. Melvina died August 18, 1909 in Altus Twp, Jackson Co. Oklahoma, at 49 years of age.

7 ii. John Gibson was born Caldwell Co., MO 1863.

8 iii. Mary I Gibson⁽¹²³³⁾ was born Caldwell Co., MO December 1865. Mary died about 1905 Logan Co. OK. She is buried in the McKinley Cemetery Cimarron Twshp Logan County Oklahoma. She married John W. McCaslin 1881.

John was born Illinois January 1850. John⁽¹²³⁴⁾ was the son of William McCaslin and Margaret A Hancock. (See John W. McCaslin for the continuation of this line.)

9 iv. Joseph Gibson was born Caldwell Co., MO 1868.
