He married Sarah Baker. Sarah was born in Ohio 1825. A John Fourman purchased 43.11 Acres of land in Ohio on November 25, 1835

In the 1870 census Van Buren, Darke, Ohio page 335B, John (age 49) is recorded with Sarah (age 44), Sarah (age 16), Henry (age 20), Levi (age 18), Samuel (age 15), Ananias (age 11), David (age 10), John (age 8), Allen (age 5), Emanuel (age 3) and Elizabeth (age 2). John is a farmer born in PA. All other births are Ohio.

In the 1880 census Van Buren, Darke, Ohio page 350, John (age 60) is recorded with Sarah (age 56), Samuel (age 23), Nile (age 21), David (age 20), John (age 17), Allen (age 18), Emanuel (age 19) and Julia (age 15). John is a farmer born in PA. All other births are Ohio.

John Fourman and Sarah Baker had the following children:

10 ix. Emanuel Fourman was born in Ohio 1866.

11 x. Elizabeth Fourman was born in Ohio 1867.
