Know all men by these Presents, that , whereas, Mary J. Maples at the October Term, 1889 of the District Court of the twenty-fifth Judaical District of Kansas, sitting in and for the County of McPherson, and on the 4th day of November, 1889, recovered a judgement in said Court against HORACE C. GODOWN and AGNES GODOWN for the sum of Two thousand three hundred seventy-seven and 84/100 dollars, damages and costs in said suit, and an Order of the Sale of the following real estate, to wit: The South West quarter of Section thirty-two, Township nineteen South of Range One West of the Sixth P.M. containing one hundred sixty acres, and whereas on the 7th day of May, 1890 was issued out of the Clerks office of said Court an Order of sale on said judgement, directed by the Sheriff of the County of McPherson. child 187 ii. Mary Ann Godown(1393) was born Franklin Co, Ohio March 23, 1842. Mary died February 12, 1906 in Kingman City, Kingman Co, KS, at 63 years of age. She married William W. Pierce in VanBuren Co, Iowa, August 10, 1859. William was born in Medina Co, Ohio 1838. William(1394) was the son of Thomas Pierce and Unity B Gorden. William died before 1900. (See William W. In the 1900 census Avenue A East, Kingman City, Kingman Co, KS page 282, Mary (age 65, widow) is living with her parents Clark and Agnes and just a couple of listings away from her brother Dillion. She is noted as having 9 children with 4 living at the time of the census.

child 188 iii. Lucinda Melissa Godown(1395) was born Columbus, Franklin Co, OH April 26, 1843. Lucinda died March 2, 1917 in Perry, Noble Co, OK, at 73 years of age. She is buried at Mt Carmel Cemetery. She married Christopher Columbus Humphrey Col Iowa, November 22, 1863.

Christopher was born Iowa November 22, 1844. Christopher(1396) was the son of David W Humphrey and Mary Smith. (See Christopher Columbus Humphrey Col for the continuation of this line.)

child 189 iv. John A Godown(1397) was born Norwich, Franklin Co, OH June 26, 1844. Some discrepancy as the whether his birth month was May or June. John died September 29, 1845 Franklin Co, Ohio, at 1 year of age.

child 190 v. Adelaide E Godown(1398) was born Franklin Co, Ohio May 25, 1848. Adelaide died September 3, 1912 at 64 years of age.

child 192 vii. Oscar H Godown(1399) was born in VanBuren Co, Iowa February 20, 1852. Oscar died December 2, 1885 Canton, McPherson Co, KS, at 33 years of age. He was found shot in his homestead near Kingman, Kansas. He is buried in Jones Cemetery, McPherson Kanas In the 1880 census Canton, Mcpherson, Kansas page 457A, Osker (age 29) is living alone.

child 193 viii. Alice S Godown(1400) was born in VanBuren Co, Iowa February 06, 1855. Alice died June 14, 1875 in VanBuren Co, Iowa, at 20 years of age. She is buried at Lebanon Cemetery.

child 194 ix. Eunice Jeanette Godown(1401) was born Pittsburg, Van Buren Co, IA March 24, 1856. Nettie died August 07, 1935 Milton, VanBuren Co, IA, at 79 years of age.
