Thursday, December 3, 1959 Paper: Augusta Chronicle Thomson GA, - Mrs Gladys L. Godowns Pilgrim dies Wednesday at University Hospital in Augusta after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Thomson First Baptist Church by the Rev Grady Wheeler, the Rev Dan Brewster and the Rev Leroy Harris. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Mrs Pilgrim Died after an extended illness and was a member of the Thomas Methodist Church. She had made her home in Thomson for the past 39 years. She was a native of Jefferson Coundy GA., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Godowns and Bienna Brinmson Godowns. Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, Gilbert Pilgrim, Clarence W Pilgrim Jr., Walter Julian Pilgrim and James Cleveland Pilgrin, all of Thomson; one brother, C. Reamer Godowns of Thomson; one sister, Mrs J.W. Murray of Augusta; 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a numer of nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Minnie Lee Godown Murray Boswell, 3874 Belair Road, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Tuesday, October 15, 1985, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home with the Revs. Robert Boyd and Olin Sizemore officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Julian Pilgram, Cleveland Pilgram, Donny Pilgram, Tom Coleman, Marvin Parrish and James Thrashkill. Mrs. Boswell was a native of Jefferson County and lived in Augusta for 47 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Women‘s Missionary Union and a Sunday school teacher for 47 years. Survivors include her husband, Mr. W.E. "Red" Boswell; a daughter, Juanita Murray Waldrop, Augusta, and a stepdaughter, Nancy Conrad, Louisville, Ky.

Mr. Boswell, a native of Richmond County, had retired from Borden's Maintenance Shop and was a member of Summit Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Boswell Conrad, Louisville; two brothers, Henry A. Boswell, Hephzibah, and Glenn Boswell, Martinez; a sister, Annie Threet, Hephzibah; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
