1. Joseph¹ Hann was born in New Jersey 1803.

He married Mary Roberson about 1826. Mary was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey February 14, 1805. Mary was the daughter of Jonathan Roberson and Gertrude Voorhees. Mary died December 29, 1859 at 54 years of age. In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 154, Joseph (age 47) is recorded with Mary (age 45), Catherine (age 22), Jonathan (age 20), Amy (age 18), James (age 15), Levi (age 13), Mary (age 10), Jonas (age 7), Alfred (age 4) and Gertrude Roberson (age 75). Joseph is a farmer and all births are NJ except Jonathan, Amy, and James who were born in NY..

Joseph Hann and Mary Roberson had the following children:

2 i. Catherine² Hann was born in New Jersey 1828.

+ 3 ii. Jonathan Hann was born 1830.

4 iii. Amy Ann Hann was born New York January 25, 1832. Amy died December 23, 1915 at 83 years of age. She married William Closson in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, January 20, 1864. William was born in Tinicum Twp, Bucks Co, Pa June 1, 1831. William was the son of George Wall Closson and Charlotte Wyker. William died January 9, 1918 at 86 years of age. 5 iv. Levi Hann was born in New Jersey 1837.

6 v. Mary Hann was born in New Jersey 1840.

+ 7 vi. Jonas L Hann was born 1843.

+ 8 vii. James Hann was born 1845.

9 viii. Alfred Hann was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1846.

10 ix. Jane Hann was born about 1858. She married Theodore VanCamp about 1878. Theodore was born about 1858. (See Theodore VanCamp for the continuation of this line.)
