66. Arlington Joseph5 Heckman (Samuel Abraham4, Joseph3, George2, Joseph1) was born in Martins Creek, Monroe Co, PA March 15, 1906. In the 1930 census he is listed as being born in New Jersey. Arlington died June 1, 1977 in West Grove, Clarion Co, PA, at 71 years of age.

He married twice. He married Lena Irene Lehr in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA, June 1926. Lena was born in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA September 12, 1908. Lena(2202) was the daughter of Edward Tilghman Lehr and Ella Vesta Derhammer. Lena died November 16, 1940 Washington Twp, Northampton Co, Pa, at 32 years of age. Lena suffered head injuries in a collision with the car she was driving and a truck. The crash took place in front of S.A. Shillinger feed mill along the Phillipsburg-Washington highway at Stewartsville Heights. She was taken to Warren Hospital where she died later that afternoon.

Buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth PA In the 1920 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 225, Lena I. (age 12) is a servant in the home of John Zerfoss and family. Most likely began living there after the death of her mother.

He married Ruth Marjorie Cook Washington, Warren Co, NJ, December 06, 1941. Ruth was born Washington, Warren Co, NJ November 09, 1907. Ruth was the daughter of John Peter Cook and Cora Leah Fritts. Ruth died December 9, 1999 Washington, Warren Co, NJ, at 92 years of age. In the 1930 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co PA page , Arlington (age 24) is recorded with his wife Lena (age 22), Elaine (age 3) and Joyce (age 1). Arlington was first married at age 20 and born in New Jersey.

In the 1940 census 92 E Church Str, Washington, Warren Co, NJ page 4B, Arlington (age 34) is recorded with his wife Lena (age32), Elaine (age 13), Joyce (age 11), Doris (age 9), and Lois (age 5).

child 86 i. Elaine Ethel6 Heckman was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA January 02, 1927. Elaine died June 30, 2011 in Monroe Co, PA, at 84 years of age. Mrs. Elaine E Drake, 84, died on June 30, 2011 at the Pocono Medical Center in E Stroudsburg, PA. She was born in Nazareth, PA and lived in Ledgewood, NJ and Virginia before moving to East Stroudsburg 9 years ago. She was a retired Health Care provider and Nurses Aide at Dover General Hospital, Dover, NJ. She previously attended the Ledgewood Baptist Church and was now a member of the First Baptist Church in E. Stroudsburg. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting, needle work, games, and gardening.

She was predeceased by her husband George in 2006 and by her son George W in 1966. She is survived by her 6 children; John Drake of Gladys, VA, Nancy Good of Lynchburg, VA, Eugene Drake of Amherst, VA, Sharon Valle of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Diane Sloane of Ledgewood, NJ, and Dwayne Drake of Mechanicsville, PA, 3 sisters; Joyce of DE, Doris of NY, and Lois of PA, 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Monday from 5 - 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 10 am at the Ledgewood Baptist Church, Main Street, Ledgewood, NJ, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.

George was born in Springfield, Union Co, NJ January 16, 1921. In the 1930 census his birth place is noted as PA. George was the son of George Elmer Drake and Elizabeth Flatt.

George died September 10, 2006 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 85 years of age. Obituary : Daily Record, Morris County, N.J. September 12, 2006: George Drake died Sunday Sept. 10, 2006 at the Slate Belt Nursing Home in Bangor Pa. He was 85. He was born in Springfield and lived in Ledgewood for 31 years. He then moved to Virginia for 17 years before moving to East Stroudsburg, Pa. four years ago. He was a retired foreman at Hercules Power Co. in Kenvil, whee he worked for 31 years util 1983. He previously worked at several farms in New Jersey. He attended the Ledgewood Baptist Church in Ledgewood and recently had attended the First Baptist Church in East Stroudsburg, Pa. His son George, died in 1966. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elaine (Heckman); his six children, John Drake of Gladys, Va, Nancy Good of Lynchburg, Va, Eugene Drake of Amherst, Va, Sharon Valle of East Stroudsburg, Pa, Diane Sloane of Ledgewood, and Dwayne Drake of Mechanicsville, Md; his two sisters, Edith English of Ledgewood and Glrnda Smith of Piscataway; his 26 grandchildren and his 30 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit today, Tuesday, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Succasunna, (973) 584-7264. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the Ledgewood Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. child 87 ii. Joyce Marian Heckman was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA July 10, 1928. Joyce died April 17, 2014 in Wilmington, New Castle Co, De, at 85 years of age. Buried in Gracelawn Cemetary in Wilmington, DE. She married Sanford Melvin Mattison May 2, 1948.

Sanford was born Washington, Warren Co, NJ November 15, 1924. Sanford(2203) was the son of Wilber Mattison and Margaret H Weyant. Sanford died September 17, 1987 in Wilmington, New Castle Co, De, at 62 years of age. (See Sanford Melvin Mattison for the continuation of this line.)
