The 1850 census for Easton, Northampton Co, PA list his age as 65. John died September 3, 1864 Easton, Northampton Co, PA, at 79 years of age. Ancestry file records her death date as July 9 1868

Buried in Kreidersville, Northampton, Pa

He married Maria Schneider Easton, Northampton Co, PA, June 29, 1806. Mary was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA April 21, 1786. Mary was the daughter of Peter Schneider and Susanna Kichline. Mary died July 09, 1868 at 82 years of age. Also in the 1850 census for Easton, Northampton Co, PA page 107, there is a male, Francis Heckman, 6 months old as of Aug 21st 1850. My assumption is that it is Not John and Maria's child since she is now 64 years old. So Francis is probably the child of one of the children.

In the 1850 census Lehigh Ward, Easton, Northampton, John (age 65) is living with his wife Mary (age 69) and 5 other Heckman. John has an occupation of Clerk and a property value of $5,000.

254 i. Susanna⁵ Heckman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA September 18, 1807. Susanna died June 27, 1875 in Jersy City, Hudson Co, NJ, at 67 years of age. She married William C Ackerman Easton, Northampton Co, PA, November 23, 1831. Married in the German Reform Church

William was born in New Jersey about 1804. William died before 1870. In the 1870 census Bushkill, Easton Twp, Northampton Co, page 16A, William is not listed living with Susan. (See William C Ackerman for the continuation of this line.) In the 1870 census Bushkill, Easton Twp Northampton page 16A, Susan (age 62) is living with Sophia (age 43) and Mary (age 52) Heckman.

255 ii. Ann Elisabeth Heckman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA February 03, 1809. Ann died April 01, 1883 in Newark, Essex Co, NJ, at 74 years of age. Her body was interred April 3, 1883 Easton, Northampton Co, PA, Easton Cemetery. She married Abraham Hoagland Easton, Northampton Co, PA, July 05, 1832. Married in The First Presbyterian Church of Easton

Abraham was born about 1805.

She was christened in First Reformed Church, Easton, Pa, February 19, 1809. Ann is listed in 1831 in the membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton PA.

257 iv. Leonara Heckman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA August 20, 1812. She married John Carroll February 05, 1839. John was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA about 1810. John died before 1880. (See John Carroll for the continuation of this line.)

She was christened in First Reformed Church, Easton, Pa, February 12, 1815. Leonora is listed in 1833 as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton PA.

258 v. Conrad K Heckman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA September 26, 1812. Conrad died December 21, 1837 at 25 years of age.

259 vi. Mary Heckman⁽²³⁶⁵⁾ was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA 1818. In the 1870 census Northampton page 16A, Mary is living with her sister Susan.

Their is a Mary listed in 1835, 1879, 1884 in the membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton PA

+ 260 vii. John Peter Heckman was born September 06, 1818.

261 viii. Margaret Heckman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA September 11, 1820. She married Dixon Lewers April 28, 1846. Dixon was born in Ireland June 03, 1808. Dixon died April 8, 1895 at 86 years of age. There is a Margaret Heckman listed in 1844 in the membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton PA.

+ 262 ix. Charles Adam Heckman was born December 03, 1822.

+ 263 x. George C Heckman Rev was born January 26, 1825.

264 xi. Sophia Heckman⁽²³⁶⁶⁾ was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA March 08, 1827. In the 1870 census Bushkill, Easton Twp, Northampton Page 16A, Sophia is living with her sisters Susan and Mary. Personal property is listed as $5,000.

There is a Sophia Heckman listed in 1849, 1879, 1884 in the membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Easton PA.

265 xii. Eliza Heckman⁽²³⁶⁷⁾ was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA 1829.

266 xiii. Francis Heckman⁽²³⁶⁸⁾ was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA December 1849. Francis is most likely not the child of John and Mary but a Grandchild. I have given the birth month as Dec because if I understand right, the birthdate is as of June 1st 1850. He was noted as being 6 months old.
