1. Charles B¹ Higgins was born in New Jersey 1842.

He married Mary H Kitchen in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, about 1867. Mary was born Delaware Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1849. Mary was the daughter of Jonathan Kitchen and Cornelia Gronendyke. In the 1880 census Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co NJ page , Charles (age 37) is recorded with Mary (age 31), Frederick (age 11) and sister-in-law Catherine Kitchen (age 29).
