He married Sarah Trout in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 20, 1787. Sarah was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1765. Sarah⁽²⁵⁹⁵⁾ was the daughter of George Trout and Johannah Lequier.

Samuel Hill and Sarah Trout had the following child:
