3. Alexander Pike² Holcombe (Solomon¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey February 24, 1818. Alexander died August 31, 1889 at 71 years of age.

He married twice. He married Jemima A Prall in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 1837. Jemima was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey June 12, 1817. Jemima was the daughter of Peter Prall and Lucretia Trout. Jemima died April 29, 1855 at 37 years of age. He married Jane DeReimer Wilson May 29, 1858. Jane was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 10, 1834. In the 1850 census Amwell Hunterdon Co NJ page 1, Alexander (age 34) is recorded with Jemina (age 34), Edward (age 6), Alfred (age 3), Theodore (age 9m), Peter Wilson (age 22), Martha Slaymate (age 14), ?? Akress (age 13) and Lucretra Prell (age 68). Alex is a farmer and all births are NJ.

Alexander Pike Holcombe and Jemima A Prall had the following children:

12 i. Edward H³ Holcombe was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey July 24, 1844.

13 ii. George W Holcombe was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1846. George died 1851 at 5 years of age.

14 iii. Alfred B Holcombe was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey March 23, 1847.

15 iv. Theodore F Holcombe was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 20, 1849.

Alexander Pike Holcombe and Jane DeReimer Wilson had the following children:

16 v. Anne Marie Holcombe was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey November 20, 1860.

17 vi. Catherine Barber Holcombe was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 9, 1863.
